As of 2015, live NASCAR events can be found on NBC and Fox affiliates and subsidiaries. The two networks signed exclusive agreements with the racing series. They share the broadcast schedule, with Fox covering the first half of the season, and NBC holding the second.
NASCAR's deal with NBC was signed in 2013, and it runs through 2024. Its primary feature allows the Sprint Cup Championship to be aired on local NBC affiliates for the first time since 2009. The contract with Fox also includes several other NASCAR properties, such as truck racing, international events and lower-tier races. These races appear on the Fox Sports family of cable channels.
