"The Little Couple" is a show about Bill Klein and Jennifer Arnold, a married couple with skeletal dysplasia, a form of dwarfism. The series follows their trials and tribulations as they build a custom home and attempt to conceive a child.
"The Little Couple" began with Klein and Arnold moving from New York to Houston, Texas, where Bill works as a telemarketing businessman and Jen works as a neonatologist. In 2012, Bill opened a store called Rocky and Maggie, named after the couple's two dogs and operated by Jen's mother, Judy. The next year, the couple adopted two children with dwarfism: Will, a boy from China, and Zoey, a girl from India.
In 2014, doctors diagnosed Jen with a rare form of cancer, and she permitted the cameras to document her treatment as part of the show. The sixth season of the show focused on Jen's cancer treatment, her 40th birthday, and the couple's difficulties in raising their adopted children. Klein and Arnold first appeared on TLC in a one-hour special called "Little People: Just Married." "The Little Couple" premiered on May 26, 2009, and has aired a total of 132 episodes over the course of seven seasons, as of 2015.
