The show was originally hosted by Chuck Woolery and Christina Ferrare. Michael Burger replaced Chuck Woolery after a few months of its premiere in 1996. The first episode of the show aired on April 1, 1996, with the final episode airing on Aug. 14, 1998.

The series was revived on Oct. 1, 2012, with Mark Steines and Paige Davis hosting the show. Paige Davis left the show on Nov. 16, 2012, and was replaced by Christina Ferrare. Woody Fraser Productions produces the series. As of September 2015, the show telecasts two-hour episodes daily Monday through Friday. The shooting of the show takes place at an actual home built specifically for the show at Universal Studios.
