"Tha Carter V" album will be the thirteenth, and supposedly final, album that Lil' Wayne will do. His first album, "Tha Block Is Hot," was released in 1999 and featured several other artists, such as B.G., Turk, Juvenile and Big Tymers, as well.
The release date of "Tha Carter V" has been pushed back a few times. Lil' Wayne released a public service announcement on October 28, 2014, the day the album was set to be released, stating that he did not want to rush it and cheat fans. There are so many songs he wanted to include on the album that he could not get them all done by the initial release date. On that same day, he released a single, "Gotti," at the end of the announcement. During that announcement, he also stated that the new drop date for part one of the album would be December 9, 2014, but as of the summer of 2015, it is still yet to be released.
Lil' Wayne has vowed to retire by 35, which he will be in the year 2017. The reasoning behind his young retirement is to spend time with his four children and to pursue other interests.Learn more about Art & Literature
