Carla Estrada produced the original version of “Quinceanera” for the Mexican multimedia company Grupo Televisa S.A. It aired over 95 episodes in the United States on the Univision network from October 1987 to February 1988. The plot focuses on the lives of two 14-year-old Mexican girls preparing for their quinceaneras and the life-changing events that befall them as they approach womanhood.
