American journalist Scott Pelley is 6 feet, 1 inch tall. He is best known for his work as an anchorman and managing editor of the CBS Evening News, and a correspondent for 60 Minutes.
Pelley graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in journalism. He began working at CBS in 1989. He went on to cover the 1990-1991 Gulf War, 1992 presidential campaigns of Bill Clinton and Ross Perot, and both the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing and the 1995 Boston Marathon Bombing. From there, Pelley worked at the program 60 Minutes II in 1999. He reported on the scene during the 9/11 attacks and did extensive war reporting on the invasion of Iraq, before settling into his job as anchorman on the CBS Evening News since 2011.
