Howard Stern is one of America's best-known talk radio hosts. He is also a disk jockey, author and television personality. Stern began his radio career by volunteering at Boston University's college radio station. In the mid-1980s, Stern got his own show in New York on WXRK, also known as K-ROCK. With Robin Quivers and producer Gary "Baba Booey" Dell'Abate, Stern's program drew millions of listeners with its shocking content and suggestive themes.

Al Franken joined liberal talk-radio station Air America in 2004 after a successful career as a comedian. He left the show in 2007 to pursue politics, eventually becoming a U.S. Senator representing Minnesota.
