"Bones" is a crime comedy-drama TV series that premiered on Fox in 2005. The show stars Emily Deschanel as Temperance "Bones" Brennan and David Boreanaz as Seeley Booth.
The plot of "Bones" focuses on the alliance between forensic anthropologist Temperance "Bones" Brennan and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth. Episodes typically begin with Booth bringing a forensic case file to Brennan for assistance. Much of the show's humor comes from Brennan's social awkwardness and Booth's attempts to communicate with her so they can solve the case at hand. Despite their differences, Brennan and Booth become romantically involved, and marry in the show's ninth season. They also have a daughter named Christine.
Brennan and Booth are assisted in their efforts by a number of supporting characters. Angela Montenegro, played by Michaela Conlin, is an expert in forensic facial reconstruction, as well as Brennan's best friend. Other assistance comes from T. J. Thyne's character, Dr. Jack Hodgins, an expert on spores and minerals. Tamara Taylor plays Dr. Camille Saroyan, the head of the Forensic Division at the Jeffersonian Institute. Other characters include Dr. Lance Sweets, played by John Francis Daley, and FBI Agent James Aubrey, played by John Boyd. As of July 2015, the 11th season of "Bones" is set to begin on Oct. 1, 2015.
