"Of Plymouth Plantation" is a two-volume history of the arrival of the Pilgrims in America and their establishment of Plymouth Plantation. It was written by William Bradford over the course of 21 years, from 1630 to 1651.
William Bradford was an Englishman who traveled with the Pilgrims on the "Mayflower" in 1620. He became governor of the new colony in 1621 and remained in this position for 30 years. His journal "Of Plymouth Plantation" describes the "Mayflower" voyage, and the establishment of the colony in detail. It also describes the daily life of the new colonists and their relationship with nearby Native American tribes. The end of the journal lists all passengers of the "Mayflower" along with an update of their lives.
