Steve Perry is an American rock singer who rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the band Journey, which he joined in 1977. He sang lead on major hits such as "Don't Stop Believing," "Open Arms" and "Lights." Perry released his first solo album, "Street Talk," in 1984.
Perry departed from Journey in 1986 but rejoined the group in 1996. He soon left again due to injuring his hip in 1997.
