Steve Hamilton is an internationally acclaimed American mystery novel author. He is one of two authors to ever win the Mystery Writers of America Award and Edgar Award for best novel and best first novel. “A Cold Day in Paradise,” Hamilton’s first work, won the award for Best First Mystery by an Unpublished Writer, an award the Private Eye Writers of America/St. Martin’s Press offers. Hamilton is one of only five writers who have won the Edgar Award multiple times. He has also been nominated for or won the Shamus Award from the Private Eye Writers of America, the Anthony, the Barry and the Gumshoe.
In addition to authoring standalone novels, Hamilton had also written several short stories, including “The 2nd Coming,” “Plot with Guns,” “Murder in the Rough,” “Meeting Across the River” and “Beneath the Book Tower.” Several of Hamilton’s works are part of a running series, including “The Nick Mason Series” and “The Alex McKnight Series.”
