In the summer, New York City Events calendars include free movies at various piers throughout the city, as well as parks, such as Brooklyn Bridge Park and Bryant Park. Other free events occur in the summer, such as the Philharmonic playing concerts in the park, musicians playing live for the TV show Good Morning America, and various street fairs. Shakespeare in the Park also has free theater every summer offered through the Public Theater.
Other events on a New York City calendar are the New York Boat Show; Chinese New Year, which includes a Cultural Festival; Fashion Week; and the Westminster Dog Show. Flower shows occur both at Macy's department store and at botanical gardens, and there is an annual auto show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
Also occurring every May is the TD Five Borough Bike Tour, in which participants bike over 40 miles, traversing five bridges.
