As of December 2015, John Fogerty has been recently performing live shows in the United States. In early December 2015, Fogerty joined several other artists to perform for a concert celebrating John Lennon’s 75th birthday at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Fogerty’s official website also features a news section to help fans stay updated with recent Fogerty news, including upcoming tour dates and appearances.
In October 2015, Fogerty released a new book titled “Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music.” The book features stories about Fogerty’s personal life and musical career, along with his legal battles with his former bandmates. Fogerty claims the idea for the book began after he become frustrated with some of the interviews he gave in newspapers and magazines. He further explained that some interviews never came out right and usually looked really bad in print. The process for the book began Jimmy McDonough doing an interview on video camera with Fogerty. McDonough later wrote the book.
In 2013, Fogerty released his ninth solo studio album, “Wrote a Song for Everyone.” The album features a collection of his hit songs performed by Fogerty and other artists, including Kid Rock and Bob Seger. The album received positive reviews among various musical critics and also reached No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
