As of July 2015, "Street Outlaws" is in its fourth season on the Discovery Channel. The show premiered in June 2013. When the show started, Shawn Ellington and his Murder Nova were in the number one spot on the list.

Justin Shearer is nicknamed "Big Chief" and is in charge of "The List." If a driver wants to compete to be on "The List," the driver has to ask Big Chief's permission. Big Chief also races his car The Crow. Other drivers include Doc, Dominator, Chuck, Daddy Dave and Derek. Doc's vehicle is a 1970 Monte Carlo named The Street Beast. He was at number one on The List until losing to Shawn and Daddy Dave. Dominator drives a 1967 Dart. He is self-funded and races on a small budget. Chuck raced professionally for many years and currently owns an auto body shop. Jackie Knox funds Daddy Dave's racing habit and has put over $150,000 into his 1996 Sonoma. Derek is a hothead who races a 1986 big block, small tire Camaro. He often cuts off his opponent's shirt sleeves if he wins the race.
