Nazo Bravo is an actor and hip-hop artist from Los Angeles who has carried out many projects dedicated to the Armenian culture. He premiered the "Armenian American" documentary as an episodic series on Feb. 11, 2015. He also releases a song from every week’s episode through his Sound Cloud. The documentary series ends with a music video titled “Power of The Hye” filmed exclusively in Armenia; when translated, "Hye" means "Armenia."
The message of the video is to show the position of President Obama on the Armenian genocide. It also explores the assassination of Hrant Dink, who was an Armenian journalist. He was assassinated in Turkey in 2007 for speaking out about the genocide. Bravo has worked on another film, “Armenia, My Country, My Mother, My Love,” that talks of the survivors of the genocide.Learn more about Art & Literature
