Rock bands who toured in 2015 include Foo Fighters and Imagine Dragons. The tours, named "Sonic Highways" and "Smoke + Mirrors," have made stops all over the globe, with some of Imagine Dragon's "Smoke + Mirrors" tour dates remaining as of December, 2015.
Foo Fighters' "Sonic Highways" tour is the band's most recent venture, in support of their eighth studio release of the same name. The tour kicked-off in Cape Town, South Africa, with a planned path through South America, The Islands, North America, Europe and Asia, but during their June 12, 2015 show in Gothenburg, Sweden, lead singer, Dave Grohl, fell from the stage, suffering a broken leg. His bandmates continued performing, and Grohl returned to finish the show after seeking medical care. The remaining European tour dates had to be canceled until Grohl underwent surgery, and the band then continued touring. Foo Fighters chose to abruptly end the tour after their November 13, 2015 show in Bologna, Italy, citing respect for those affected by the terrorist attacks in Paris, where they were due to perform after leaving Italy.
Imagine Dragons' "Smoke + Mirrors" tour supports their second album, also of the same name. The tour officially started in Santiago, Chile, on April 12, 2015, but the band also performed a special preview show for the people of Sydney, Australia, on March 17, 2015. Imagine Dragons have also played various off-tour shows as part of festivals and special events during their travels. The "Smoke + Mirrors" tour is set to conclude in February, 2016.
