With aspirations of becoming a professional baseball player, Quan played for Ronald E. McNair High School for four years before turning to rapping. Growing up, he was involved in illegal activities, and he even served 15 months in prison on charges of burglary.
His first single was “Differences,” which was part of his 2012 mix tape “Still Going On.” His second single “Type of Way” from the mix tape “Still Goin In: Reloaded” achieved greater success. Quan released “I Promise I Will Never Stop Going In,” his second official mix tape, in 2014. The lead single, “Walk Thru” hit no. 74 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. The music video of the song was released on July 27, 2014.
