Rexella Van Impe was born on November 29, 1932. Van Impe was born in Missouri as Rexella Shelton. Van Impe was named after her father, Rex, and changed her last name in 1954 when she married evangelical Christian Jack Van Impe.

Van Impe and her husband met at a Youth For Christ rally, where she served as an organist. The couple eventually married and started a ministry after tying the knot. In addition to co-hosting Jack's television shows, Van Impe is an author and actress. Her works include "America's Future," "Day Eight: Planet Earth Forever" and "The Mark of the Beast." The first two works were produced in 2002, while "The Mark of the Beast" dates back to 1997.
