National Geographic offers an automatic renewal service for magazine subscriptions as of 2015. When a yearly subscription comes to an end, the customer receives an emailed reminder with the current subscription rates. If no action is taken, the customer continues to be billed and sent monthly magazine issues.
During the subscription sign-up process, National Geographic requests the customer's name, address and credit card number or PayPal account. By signing up for a subscription, the customer is automatically enrolled in National Geographic's automatic renewal program. A subscription may be cancelled at any time. To cancel a subscription, contact National Geographic via the toll-free phone number or email address listed on the subscriptions page. If a subscription is cancelled, National Geographic immediately stops billing the customer and refunds him for any issues that he did not receive after paying the yearly fee.
National Geographic offers digital, print and combination subscriptions. A digital subscription gives the user access to magazine editions that are compatible with iPad, iPhone, Kindle Fire and Android devices. With a basic print subscription, the customer receives print magazine issues in the mail. A print plus subscription gives the user access to print and digital editions of the popular magazine.
