Randy Travis has recovered from the stroke he suffered in July 2013, reports Us Weekly. He attended the 2015 Academy of Country Music Awards show, during which he was honored by country singer Lee Brice, says Us Weekly.
Travis appeared in Dallas, Texas, at the AT&T Stadium on April 19. Brice sang one of Travis's hits from 1987 entitled "Forever and Ever, Amen," and Travis stood at the end of the performance to the applause of fans who had not seen him in public since the stroke in 2013, according to Us Weekly. Shortly after the appearance, he thanked his fans on his website for supporting him during his recovery, says Us Weekly.
