The popular series "Paramparça" is a Turkish drama involving a switched-at-birth plot line. It stars Nurgül Ye?ilçay as Gülseren-Guzel Sönmez Gülpinar and Erkan Petekkaya as Cihan Gürp?nar. The show is in Turkish and is scheduled to run for two seasons and 36 episodes. It premiered on December 1, 2014 with season one and is expected to end in June 2016.
Cem Uzan and Ahmet Ozal started Star TV in 1989 with the name Magic Box. Star TV became the first private channel in Turkey. In the early 1990s it was known as Star Magic Box due to Star 1 being copyrighted. Star TV later also became the first Turkish channel to begin broadcasting a digital signal in 1999. In 2004, Star TV was auctioned to pay debts owed by the Uzan Group. It was bought by Isil Television Broadcasting Corporation of Dogan Media Group in 2005.
