Some of the programs on the LBC Arabic TV station as of 2015 include "Top Chef Middle East," "Beirut, I Love You," "Star Academy Arab World" and "Miss Lebanon." The station also broadcasts Western television shows and variations such as "Survivor," "The Winner Is..." and "The Brothers Grunt."
"Top Chef Middle East" is a reality show where 17 chefs from around the Middle East compete. They are judged by the show presenter, Siham Tueni, as well as the head chef Joe Barza. A weekly panel of professional chefs and other personalities from the food industry also weigh in on candidates' dishes.
"Beirut, I Love You" is a Lebanese television and web-series starring Mounia Akl and Cyril Aris. The show follows several 20-somethings living in Beirut. "Star Academy Arab World" is a pan-Arab televised talent show, which aired in 2003 and has gone through nine seasons. The most recent winner of the show was Mahmoud Mohy in 2014.
"Miss Lebanon" is the country's national beauty pageant. LBC has broadcast the show since 1991. The number of contestants varies from year to year but most often features 16 women. Valerie Abou Chacra was the winner for 2015. The 1971 winner of the Miss Lebanon contest, Georgina Rizk, also won the Miss Universe competition that year, an event which the LBC also broadcasts.
