As of 2015, O.J. Simpson is in Lovelock Correctional Center in Lovelock, Nevada. The former football star was convicted in 2008 of robbing two sports memorabilia dealers in Las Vegas. Simpson told police he was trying to reclaim memorabilia that was stolen from him.
Lovelock Correctional Center was built to house 1,680 inmates, including medium-custody inmates in the general population and close-custody inmates in protective segregation. The prison offers inmates classes, courses, vocational training and jobs.
Simpson was sentenced to 33 years in prison for armed robbery and kidnapping, with no chance of parole for nine years. He was convicted on the 13th anniversary of his acquittal in the 1994 murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman.
