The Backstreet Boys were one of the most memorable boy bands of the 1990s. The group scored a string of number one hit albums in the late '90s with several hit singles between them, such as "Quit Playing Games with My Heart" and "I Want It That Way."
'N Sync was also huge in the '90s, launching the career of superstar Justin Timberlake. Although 'N Sync was not around as long as many other boy bands, it managed to score monster hits such as "Bye Bye Bye" and "It's Gonna Be Me."
Although the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync were huge, Boyz II Men was the top boy band of the '90s in terms of chart performance, with a string of number one hits throughout the decade, such as "One Sweet Day," "End of the Road" and "I'll Make Love to You."
Before 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys rose to fame in the late '90s, New Kids on the Block paved the way in the earlier part of the decade. The group rose to fame in the late 1980s and continued to score hits such as "Step by Step" at the onset of the 1990s.
