Dr. Myles Munroe, the senior pastor of the Bahamas Faith Ministries International Fellowship, wrote many bestselling books, including "The Power of Character in Leadership" and "The Purpose and Power of Authority." He also wrote "Understanding The Purpose and Power of a Woman" and "Understanding the Purpose and Power of Men."
As an evangelical minister and motivational speaker, Dr. Munroe wrote books on a variety of topics, including marriage, relationships, leadership management and spiritual development. He published 69 books on these topics, including "The Purpose and Power of Prayer," "The Pursuit of Purpose" and "Rediscovering Kingdom Worship."
One of Dr. Munroe's best-known books, "The Burden of Freedom," examined developing nations in Africa and the Caribbean. In 1998, Queen Elizabeth II recognized him for his contributions to the spiritual and social development of the Bahamas by awarding him an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire medal.
Many of Dr. Munroe's best-selling books, including "Understanding Your Potential" and "Becoming a Leader," examined the untapped leadership potential in readers of all races, social groups and religious belief systems. His work as a motivational speaker on these topics gave him an audience of both spiritual and secular readers.
Dr. Myles Munroe died at 60 years of age on Nov. 9, 2014.
