The "Walk" series by Richard Paul Evans is about the spiritual walking journey of Seattle ad executive Alan Christoffersen after he loses everything in his life. There are five books in the series, each of which advances the plot and tells of life-affirming events that inspire Christoffersen to push on in his journey.
"The Walk" is the first book in this series. The other four books are "Miles to Go," "The Road to Grace," "A Step of Faith" and "Walking on Water." Each book contains its own subplot. In "Miles to Go," Christoffersen has been stabbed and cannot walk. A mysterious woman named Angel helps him, but Christoffersen soon realizes that before he can return to his own journey, he must first help Angel with hers. In "A Step of Faith" and "Walking on Water," Christoffersen faces a life-changing crisis that almost ends his journey.
The author flew to Seattle with his daughter and followed Christoffersen's path before writing "The Walk." Evans is a bestselling author who has won many awards, including an American Mothers book award, two first-place Storytelling World awards, The Romantic Times Best Women’s Novel of the Year award, the German Leserpreis Gold Award for Romance and the Religion Communicator’s Council’s Wilbur Award.
