The first leg of "The Amazing Race" for season 26, which aired in 2015, began in Castaic, California, where contestants sped off via Los Angeles International Airport to Tokyo, Japan, for the initial competition. Leg two of season 26 began in Nagano, which is located on the Japanese island of Honshu, with the race beginning at Shinagawa Station and ending at Patio Daimon, also in Nagano. For the third leg, contestants flew via Narita International Airport to Phuket, Thailand, with stops for competitions on Patong Beach, Patong Beach Bed and Breakfast Hotel and Sri Panwa Hotel in Phuket. In leg four, contestants flew to Bangkok, stopping for events at the Wat Klang Food market and the Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen temple.
Other notable stops for the remaining legs include St. Peter's Church in Munich, the capital of Bavaria; the Monaco Heliport in Fontvieille, Monaco; and the Eglise Notre Dame de l'Assomption d'Eze in Eze, France.
