"Downton Abbey" is Masterpiece Classic's most popular series, having aired its fifth season in 2015. It depicts the aristocratic Crawley family and their conflicts in early 20th-century Britain. "Poldark" is an 18th-century period drama surrounding a former soldier of the American Revolutionary War and how he deals with returning to his hometown. "Indian Summers" covers British socialites living in India just before the country's independence. "Mr. Selfridge," which stars famous American actor Jeremy Piven, revolves around a British businessman and his department store.
