Owl City is an American electronica project. It is one of several projects created by Adam Young in Owatonna, Minnesota, in his parents’ basement in 2007. He grew a large following through MySpace, the social networking site, then signed with Universal Republic Records in 2008, now Republic Records.
In addition to performing original songs, Young is also a songwriter with songwriting credits for songs such as “Rugs from Me to You” and “Hospital Flowers."
