American sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson originally performed the song “Barracuda” with their rock band, Heart. It was the first single on their second album, “Little Queen,” released in 1977.
The band Heart features Ann Wilson as lead singer and Nancy Wilson playing guitar. Their 1975 debut album, “Dreamboat Annie,” produced the hit singles, “Crazy On You” and “Magic Man.” The Wilson sisters, from Seattle, Washington, first performed and toured in Canada. Ann Wilson wrote “Barracuda” in response to the sexism and misogyny she and her sister encountered as they became famous. Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013, and of 2015, the band has sold more than 22 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums world wide.
