The first installation of Michael Connelly's award winning Harry Bosch novels was published in 1992 and has since grown to a series of twenty crime novels. The Bosch novels are some of Connelly's most well-known and concern the life and career of a Los Angeles crime detective.
In order of earliest date of publication to latest, the Harry Bosch novels are The Black Echo, The Black Ice, The Concrete Blonde, The Last Coyote, Trunk Music, Angels Flight, A Darkness More Than Night, City Of Bones, Lost Light, The Narrows, The Closers, Echo Park, The Overlook, The Brass Verdict, Nine Dragons, The Reversal, The Drop,The Black Box, The Burning Room, and The Crossing. This list does not include novels in which the character of Harry Bosch appears briefly, like in many of Connelly's Mickey Haller books. Michael Connelly began his career as a crime reporter for the Los Angeles Times and continues to write crime oriented mystery novels both in and outside the Harry Bosch series. The Amazon Studio series, "Bosch," is a television interpretation of the Connelly series and follows a handful of other screen adaptations of Connelly's work. The Harry Bosch series has won several awards for fiction, including the Grand Prix award and the RBA International Prize for Crime Writing award.
