The order of the series is as follows:
Cross’s archenemy is Kyle Craig, a dangerous criminal who goes by the name the “Mastermind." Over the course of the series, Cross frequently clashes with Craig, who seeks to harm him and his family.
Several of the novels have been adapted into films. In 1997, a film version of "Kiss the Girls" was released, starring Morgan Freeman as Cross and Ashley Judd as a surgeon who escaped from a mass murderer. "Along Came a Spider" was released several years later in 2001.
