Olive Uniacke is the stepdaughter of producer David Heyman of "Harry Potter" fame, and the daughter of researcher and businessman Robie Uniacke. She shot to fame in the summer of 2010, when she was seen celebrating with "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe in St. Petersburg and Moscow during his 21st birthday trip.
Born in 1991, Uniacke had a prestigious academic upbringing, first studying at the Gordonstoun school in Scotland, and then the French Lycee in Kensington, West London. Her mother Rose is a famous interior designer. Her father Robie is a mathematical researcher and reformed drug addict who later became a famed figure in London society. After the end of his first marriage with Emma Howard, the late Earl of Carlisle's daughter, Robie began dating actress Rosamund Pike. Uniacke's stepfather David Heyman is the multi-million-dollar producer of the "Harry Potter" series and Alfonso Cuarón's "Gravity."
Although Uniacke and Radcliffe had been friends for years, the two grew closer as she was working with him on the set of the "Harry Potter" films as a PA. A notorious party girl, she drew controversy for her wild lifestyle, colorful Twitter posts and drinking problems; she is a chain-smoker of Camel cigarettes, has a predilection for Moët champagne, and is famous for her house parties. Radcliffe never publicly confirmed that the two were dating, always mentioning a "secret girlfriend of his" who was based in England and wasn't an actress. As time went on he, Radcliffe distanced himself from his drinking escapades, as he moved to Manhattan.
