Janice Dickinson is an American model and television personality who dubbed herself "the world's first supermodel" and appeared on the cover of Vogue 37 times. Fans also sometimes refer to U.S.-born Gia Carangi as the first supermodel; she was famous during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
