Niurka Marcos is an actress, singer and dancer from Cuba, who is known simply as Niurka in her professional life. She is known for her roles on a Mexican soap opera called "Salome," telenovelas called "Velo de Novia" and "La Fea Mas Bella," and the reality series "Big Brother: Mexico."
Marcos was born in Havana, Cuba on Nov. 25, 1967. She was married twice, first to Bobby Larios in 2004, and then to Yanixan in 2007. She divorced both men after a few years of marriage. She has two sons, Kiko and Emilio, and a daughter, Romina. All of her children were born in Mexico, as Niurka was part of one of the first group of foreigners to be granted Mexican citizenship by Mexican President Vicente Fox.
Besides starring in television movies and series, she also sang on the soundtrack for the telenovela "La Fea Mas Bella" in 2006 and recorded her own album called "La Emperadora" in 2007. She also posed for Mexican Playboy magazine in 2007. In 2008, she started her own television show called "Espectacularmente Niurka" and hosted a show called "El Show De Niurka." In this show, she interviewed artists while in a Jacuzzi tub, and sang, danced and played games.
