A newspaper publisher controls the entire operational activities of a newspaper. The person in this position is the one that oversees the content and advertising that goes into the publication.

A newspaper is a regularly printed publication that features current and relevant news articles, advertisements, sports stories and other content that is of general interest to the reading public. These news accounts often come with pictures to further enhance the stories. The circulation of newspapers usually occurs on a daily or weekly basis.

A publisher manages the day-to-day functions of the news business. Some of the responsibilities that this position entail include recruiting personnel, allocating the organization's budget, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining good public relations and promoting sales.
