The Saigon Broadcasting Television Network broadcasts news, sports, movies, talk shows, children programs in Vietnamese 24 hours a day. The channel is geared towards the Vietnamese diaspora.
Established in Orange County, California, in the year 2001 by Truc Ho, a well-known songwriter, composer, producer and human rights activist in the Vietnamese community, SBTN was the first 24-hour Vietnamese television network. Headquartered in Garden Grove, California, the channel also has local affiliates in Boston, Massachusetts (Boston Vietnamese Media), Washington, D.C. (SBTN-DC), Dallas, Texas (SBTN DFW), and Honolulu, Hawaii. The channels aim at connecting the community with their heritage, culture and identity.
