Paige, Eva Marie, Alicia Fox, and sisters Nikki and Brie Bella are some of the World Wrestling Entertainment Divas. WWE Divas are the female performers, managers, ring announcers and backstage reporters employed by the WWE, a professional wrestling company in the United States.
Popular WWE Divas also include Stacy Keibler, Sable, Chyna, Miss Elizabeth and AJ Lee. Stephanie McMahon, the daughter of WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, is also known for being a performer and the former general manager of "WWE SmackDown."
The WWE's Hall of Fame includes many Divas, such as Trish Stratus, Lita, Alundra Blayze, Mae Young and Wendi Richter. In 1995, The Fabulous Moolah was the first WWE Diva to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. It took 11 years for another female, "Sensational" Sherri Martel, to follow her.
In 2008, Vickie Guerrero, the SmackDown general manager and wife of the late WWE wrestler Eddie Guerrero, introduced the WWE Divas Championship title. Divas Michelle McCool and Natalya were the first contenders for the title. During that same year, former WWE Divas Joy Giovanni, Miss Jackie, Torrie Wilson, Sunny and Molly Holly appeared in the "Wrestlemania 25" event to join the 25 Divas Battle Royal match and compete for the title of Miss Wrestlemania.
