Daniel Silva's newest book as of September 2015 is "The English Spy." The book is the 15th in the espionage series featuring Gabriel Allon, a member of Israeli intelligence.
In "The English Spy," Allon tracks down the killer of a beloved member of British royalty. In doing so, he faces a cabal that wants him dead.
Allon and his team, named Barak, the Hebrew word for thunder, call their employer the "Office," which is suggestive of the Israeli Mossad. Silva's books generally draw on real-world people and events such as the 1972 killing of the Israeli Olympic athletes in Munich. In "The English Spy," the murdered member of British royalty resembles Princess Diana.
