Gayle King became famous through her appearances on broadcast television. King is perhaps most well known for her friendship with Oprah Winfrey and her numerous appearances alongside Winfrey on "The Oprah Winfrey Show."
As of 2015, King serves as a co-host for "CBS This Morning." She has also served as the editor-at-large of O Magazine since 1999. King hosted a syndicated talk show for one season in the mid-1990s. King also served as an anchor for a local CBS affiliate in Connecticut for 12 years. Over the course of her career, King has won three Emmy Awards, as of 2015.
