Actor William Bradley Pitt began his film career in 1987. His role in 1991's "Thelma and Louise" is often regarded as his breakthrough. By 1995, Pitt was considered a popular leading man through his roles in "Interview with the Vampire," "Seven," and "Legends of the Fall."
Pitt continued landing successful leading-man roles, starring in blockbuster films such as "Troy" and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." He also starred in dramas such as "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford."
In 2006, he began producing films, including many of his own. Pitt worked as a producer on "Tree of Life" and "Moneyball," and on the successful 2013 zombie film "World War Z." The same year, he appeared in a small role in "12 Years a Slave," a film he produced that went on to win the Oscar for Best Picture.
