Virginia Beach movie theaters include Regal Strawbridge Marketplace 12, Beach Movie Bistro, Virginia Marine and Science Center 3D, AMC Lynnhaven 18, Regal Columbus 12, Cinema Cafe Pembroke Meadows, Cinema Cafe Kemps River and MacArthur Center. The location at MacArthur Center is a Regal Cinemas 18 and is located inside the MacArthur Center shopping center, unlike the other theaters in the area, which are in standalone buildings.
The theaters in Virginia Beach are all owned by different groups so will have different seating types, concessions and prices. The Regal group owns three of the theaters in the area, while the only other group that comes close to that number is the Cinema Cafe with two locations.
Visitors to the area looking for a unique type of movie experience would like the Beach Movie Bistro. The theater is on the smaller side with only seven screens, but they offer a large dinner menu and a full bar. The bar carries 20 different microbrews along with wine and cocktails. The menu the theater offers goes from the expected like pizza and sandwiches to the less common movie food like fresh fish and gourmet dishes.
The Virginia Marine and Science center shows a variety of marine related movies during the week. These tickets can be purchased separate from the tickets for the rest of the center. On Saturdays, the theater at the center shows popular hit movies on the largest screen in Virginia.
