Missy Peregrym is a Canadian actress. She portrays Andy McNally in the series, "Rookie Blue," which chronicles the personal and professional highs and lows of up-and-coming cops in Toronto's fictional 15 Division.
Peregrym was born in Montreal, Canada in 1982. Her mother is a housewife, and her father is a minister. Peregrym signed with the Lizbell Agency when she was 18 and started as a model. Her agency encouraged her to try commercials, and she subsequently appeared in television advertisements for Mercedes-Benz and Sprint Canada.
Peregrym's acting debut occurred in 2000 when she appeared in an episode of "Dark Angel," a Canadian-based television series. Although she portrayed the well-received character of Candice Wilmer on the series, "Heroes," in 2007, her first lead role was Andi Prendergast on the CW's television series, "Reaper," from 2007 to 2009.
Another of Peregrym's lead roles is Chloe Jocelyn, the protagonist in a Yahoo web series, "Cybergeddon." Peregrym won the Best Actress Streamy award for her work on the show. The series is still available online for viewing on Hulu.com, as of 2015. Peregrym's credits thus far include mostly television series and shorts, although she did star with Eric Balfour in the 2012 survival-bear-attack film "Backcountry."
Peregrym married actor Zachary Levi in 2014. The couple divorced in 2015.
