A meet and greet ticket allows one person to meet a performer before a concert. He may be allowed to have an item autographed or get his picture taken with the performer. Rules vary depending on the performer.
Meet and greet tickets are often available to members of the performer's fan club. Members may need to request to be entered into the drawing for a specific show, then the recipients of the tickets are chosen at random. Tickets could also be given out on a first come, first serve basis. There may be a maximum amount of meet and greet tickets one person can win per year. To attend the meet and greet, a person usually also needs a ticket to the concert.
Only the person with the ticket is allowed to attend the meet and greet. Exceptions may be made for minors or those with special needs.
There may be photographers who take pictures at the meet and greet. If there are, the pictures may be posted on the performer's website. A person may be able to opt out of having his picture published. If the performer does not have time to sign items, autographed pictures may be distributed instead.
