The wedding dress Marla Maples wore during her wedding to Donald Trump was designed by Venezuelan designer Carolina Herrera and was made in five days. The off-shoulder ivory gown had a flared train and a veil fastened to a tiara.
In a 1993 interview, designer Herrera said that she was unfazed at the short timeline given to her to make the gown as well as the gowns of the wedding entourage. Maples arrived at her studio on Dec. 13, 1993 at 3 p.m. and chose fabric from high-end Swiss fabric maker Bucol. Herrera described Maples, who had just recently given birth to daughter Tiffany at the time, as tall, beautiful and in great shape. The lavish wedding took place a week later on Dec. 20 at the Trump Plaza Hotel.
Billionaire real estate mogul Trump divorced long-time wife Ivana Trump in 1991 to marry Maples with whom he was having an affair. Trump and Maples divorced in 1999.
