The artist Pablo Picasso, often referred to simply by his last name, was married twice. His first wife was a ballerina named Olga Khokhlova, and his second wife was an artist's model named Jacqueline Roque.
Picasso was formally married twice, but he had many mistresses and lovers in his lifetime, and most of these relationships were with women who were significantly younger than him. One such relationship was with a woman named Francoise Gilot, who was 40 years younger than Picasso and with whom the artist had two children. Gilot eventually left Picasso, and she wrote a memoir of their time together, detailing his abuse, infidelity and other mistreatment.
