Jack Nicholson also worked as a producer on one episode of the television documentary series "Biography" and on the video "Blue Champagne." He was the executive producer for the short film "I Am But a Fool."
In addition to producing, Nicholson has worked as an actor, director and writer. Of the movies he produced, he also acted in "The Shooting," acted in and wrote "Ride in the Whirlwind," wrote and had a cameo appearance in "Head," wrote and directed "Drive, He Said," and acted in, wrote and directed "The Two Jakes."
Nicholson has won many awards, primarily for his work as an actor. He has received Academy Awards, BAFTA Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards and Golden Globe Awards. He received the 1988 Grammy Award for Best Album for Children.
Roles for which Nicholson received popular or critical acclaim include The Joker in "Batman," Jack Torrance in "The Shining," Frank Costello in "The Departed" and J.J. Gittes in "Chinatown." He reprises the role of Gittes in the sequel "The Two Jakes."
