Johnstone is an American author, born and raised in Missouri. He was born in 1938 and died in 2004. Although he began writing in 1970, his first published work was not until 1979 when he published “The Devil’s Kiss.” In 1980, Johnstone took to writing full-time, even writing two novels, “Eagle Down” and “Dagger,” under the alias William Mason.
