As of 2015, Nicholas Sparks has written 20 published books. His novel titled "See Me" appeared in October 2015. Sparks' first published piece was "Wokini: A Lakota Journey to Happiness and Self-Understanding," which he co-authored with Billy Mills in 1990.
Sparks' first independent novel was "The Notebook," published by Feather Publishing, Random House and Hay House. The novel reached the New York Times best-seller list in the first week of its release.
Sparks began his writing career by penning an unpublished novel, "The Passing," in 1985 while attending Notre Dame. In 1989, he wrote another novel "The Royal Murders," which also remains unpublished.
