As of 2015, major events at the Hershey classic car show include the flea market, classic car show and Race Car Condition Run. Other events include the talent show, the Hughes high-wheeler event and also the awards banquet.
The flea market includes vendors who bring out classic cars and trucks, car parts, and rare collectibles. The classic car show is the centerpiece of the event, with classic vehicles of all makes and models that are 25 years or older, and the car corral features classic, unmodified cars for sale.
The Race Car Condition Run brings the best in classic cars flying around the track, and the Hughes high-wheeler event at the stadium is incredibly popular, drawing the biggest crowds.
The event’s organizers show old-time movies in the Music Box Theater. There is also a judges breakfast located at the Giant Center and a ladies luncheon that takes place at the Hotel Hershey. There is transportation available for the luncheon via a shuttle that departs from the local bus stop at 11:00 a.m. In addition, there is a talent show, Junior Antique Automobile Club activities that take place on the show field, and also the awards banquet at the Hershey Lodge.
The Hershey classic car show’s first event took place on Feb. 8, 1955, and continues to draw people from the world over for the week-long festivities.
